Marku Painting Safety Policy

Effective Date: May 8, 2025

At Marku Painting, safety is a top priority—for our team, our clients, and the properties we work on. We are committed to maintaining a clean, secure, and hazard-free work environment throughout every phase of our painting projects.

1. General Commitment

Marku Painting is committed to:

Following all local, state, and OSHA safety regulations and best practices

Ensuring all workers are trained in proper safety procedures

Using only well-maintained tools and equipment

Minimizing risks to property and personal injury

Creating an environment of awareness, accountability, and prevention

2. Job Site Practices

To ensure a safe workspace, we follow these job site protocols:

Daily site assessments to identify and eliminate hazards

Proper setup and use of ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment

Use of drop cloths, plastic coverings, and taping to protect floors, furniture, and fixtures

Clearly marked work zones to minimize disruption and prevent accidents

Safe storage and disposal of paint, solvents, and tools

3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All painters are required to wear appropriate PPE, including:

Safety goggles

Respirators or masks (when necessary)

Gloves

Protective clothing or coveralls

Hearing protection when using power tools

4. Health & Environmental Considerations

We strive to use low-VOC and eco-friendly paints whenever possible, to protect the indoor air quality for our clients and team. Ventilation procedures are followed in all enclosed spaces to reduce exposure to fumes.

5. Client Safety

Your safety is just as important as ours. During each project, we:

Communicate any necessary precautions clearly to homeowners or property managers

Ensure that work areas are properly cleaned and secured at the end of each day

Keep pathways clear and equipment safely stored

Limit disruption to occupied spaces as much as possible

6. Incident Reporting & Prevention

Any accidents or safety concerns are documented and reviewed immediately. We use every incident as a learning opportunity to improve our safety procedures moving forward.

7. Continuous Improvement

Marku Painting regularly reviews and updates our safety policy to ensure compliance with industry standards and to improve job site safety for everyone involved.
